React Weekly Sponsorship Policy
Sponsorship Terms
These terms explain how sponsorship bookings work for React Weekly, what content we accept, how approvals and payment are handled, and what happens if a campaign needs to be changed or cancelled.
Last Updated: June 24, 2026
1. Scope
These Sponsorship Terms govern all paid placements purchased for React Weekly newsletters and related promotional surfaces that we expressly include in a sponsorship package. By submitting a sponsorship request, approving creative, or remitting payment, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the company you represent.
These terms supplement our general site policies and apply specifically to sponsorship inventory, campaign review, scheduling, payment, delivery, and acceptable promotional content.
2. Booking and Availability
Sponsorship bookings begin with a request submitted through our sponsor form. Requested dates are not reserved until we confirm availability and receive payment. We typically review requests within 24 to 48 hours.
- Inventory is limited and may be sold on a first-approved, first-paid basis.
- We recommend booking at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance, especially around major product launches, conferences, and seasonal hiring periods.
- We may decline a request if the requested issue is full or if the campaign is not a fit for our audience.
If your preferred date is unavailable, we may offer alternative placements or later issues.
3. Accepted Sponsors and Editorial Fit
React Weekly serves React and React Native developers. We accept sponsorships that are relevant to that audience, including developer tools, SaaS products, infrastructure, education, events, agencies, and engineering job opportunities.
We do not accept campaigns that are misleading, low quality, unsafe, unlawful, unrelated to our audience, or likely to harm reader trust. We may reject or request changes to creative that:
- Makes unverifiable or exaggerated claims.
- Uses deceptive pricing or misleading calls to action.
- Promotes gambling, adult material, malware, hate speech, or illegal services.
- Conflicts with our editorial standards or community expectations.
Acceptance of a sponsorship request is always at our discretion, even after initial discussions.
4. Packages and Deliverables
Deliverables depend on the package you book. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, current package expectations are:
4.1 Main Sponsor
- Top newsletter placement.
- Brand logo and featured visual.
- Up to 150 words of approved promotional copy.
- One primary call-to-action link.
4.2 Sponsored Link
- Native placement in the newsletter content flow.
- Headline, short description, and destination link.
- Copy length and final presentation may be adjusted for style, clarity, and space.
Exact placement, labeling, formatting, and supporting mentions may evolve as the newsletter design changes, provided the substance of the purchased package is preserved.
5. Creative Specifications and Assets
Sponsors are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and timely assets. Current creative expectations include:
- Main Sponsor: 1200x600 featured image plus brand logo.
- Sponsored Link: title, short description, and destination URL.
- Accepted image formats: PNG, JPG, SVG, and WebP.
All submitted assets must be licensed for your intended use and must not infringe third-party intellectual property rights. You represent that you have the rights necessary to supply all copy, images, trademarks, and links included in your campaign.
We may make light edits for grammar, clarity, length, accessibility, formatting, and consistency with newsletter style. Material changes will be shared for approval before publication when timing permits.
6. Review, Approval, and Final Publication
After receiving your assets, we may send a preview or summary of the final sponsorship unit for review. Sponsors are responsible for reviewing that material promptly and confirming that names, links, offers, and tracking parameters are correct.
- If approval is required, delayed feedback may jeopardize the scheduled issue date.
- We may publish using the latest approved version if responses are not received within the agreed timeline.
- We reserve final editorial control over layout, copy fit, labeling, and newsletter composition.
Publication timing depends on production schedules, editorial constraints, and operational factors. We may reschedule a placement when reasonably necessary, including for issue delays or technical problems.
7. Pricing, Payment, and Taxes
Pricing is communicated at the time of booking or through the sponsor page. A booking is considered confirmed only after the applicable invoice is paid in full, unless we explicitly agree to different payment terms in writing.
- All fees are quoted in the invoiced currency.
- Sponsors are responsible for any taxes, duties, levies, or bank charges associated with payment.
- We may refuse publication or release a reserved slot if payment is late or incomplete.
Unless otherwise required by law or stated in these terms, all sponsorship fees are non-refundable after confirmation.
8. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Sponsors may request cancellation or rescheduling by emailing us as soon as possible. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, the following default policy applies to confirmed bookings:
- More than 7 days before the scheduled issue: full refund or credit.
- 3 to 7 days before the scheduled issue: 50% refund.
- Less than 3 days before the scheduled issue: no refund.
If a sponsor misses an asset deadline, fails to approve creative in time, or provides unusable materials, we may treat the issue as a sponsor-driven postponement or cancellation.
If we are unable to run a confirmed sponsorship due to our own operational issue, we will either reschedule the placement or provide an appropriate refund or credit.
9. Performance and Reporting
We do not guarantee a specific number of impressions, opens, clicks, conversions, leads, hires, or revenue. Newsletter performance depends on many factors outside our control, including offer quality, landing page quality, audience fit, timing, and market conditions.
Any metrics or examples we share are informational and should not be interpreted as a promise of future results.
10. Warranties and Liability
You warrant that your campaign materials are accurate, lawful, and owned or properly licensed by you, and that your landing pages and offers comply with applicable laws and industry rules.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, React Weekly disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from a sponsorship booking or campaign publication.
Our aggregate liability relating to a sponsorship will not exceed the fees actually paid for the affected placement.
